This Red Sea route offers the perfect combination. Setting sail from Hurghada, we will dive several wrecks in the Strait of Gübal, as well as the reefs north of Hurghada and in the Ras Mohamed National Park. Of course, the famous wreck of the Thistlegorm, located on the other side of the Strait at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, could not be missing from this route.
This itinerary presents the best of both worlds, where we will visit famous shipwrecks in the northern Red Sea along with impressive reef diving.
The famous Shaab El Erg reef is a perfect example of the reefs on offer on this cruise with hard coral and the chance to see dolphins. Abu Nuhas has four well-known wrecks teeming with abundant marine life: Giannis D, Carnatic, the Chrisoula K and the Kimon M. Night dives can be superb as Gubal offers a protected bottom for overnight stays. A small wreck at 8-10 metres offers spectacular night diving with lionfish, scorpionfish and their resident giant moray eel, as well as the wrecks of the Ulysses, the Kingston and the Dunraven.
Ras Mohamed is located at the southern tip of Sinai and is one of Egypt’s best preserved national parks, with nutrient-rich waters and vertical walls that drop to a depth of 1,000 metres attracting a wealth of fish and earning it a reputation as one of the best diving areas in the world. We will have the opportunity to dive at Shark Reef, a steep wall that drops into the blue, as well as the wreck of the Yolanda.
We will visit the most famous wreck in the Red Sea, the SS Thistlegorm. The Thistlegorm was sunk in 1941 after being bombed by the German Luftwaffe while on a mission to deliver a shipment of ammunition and other war materials to British troops in North Africa.
All dive sites are subject to divers experience and weather conditions.

Booking
To book, an initial deposit is required. Subsequent payments will be made in installments as follows:
