Puerto del Carmen Wrecks

The secret of local diving

A dive recommended for wreck lovers. In a single dive, you can visit the remains of up to six wrecks.

Interestingly, the shallowest wrecks are the best preserved, and one of them even protrudes from beneath the rocks of the pier itself, offering a completely unusual view.

The remains of the ships provide a landscape completely different from any other dive on the island, making it a highly sought-after dives for divers visiting Lanzarote for the first time.

It is advisable to visit the deeper wrecks first and end the dive at the shallowest one.

The wreck located furthest to the east still retains its large propeller at a depth of 38 meters.

Among the wreckage, we will find typical cave animals such as scorpionfish, blennies, and even conger eels. We recommend paying special attention to the sand, as it is easy to spot rays, mantas, eagle rays, torpedo rays, and angel sharks.

It is entertaining to try to identify each of the six sunken ships while exploring the seabed in search of the local fauna.
